See Museum Where “Frogs” Go To School And Also Play Games (Photos)
This is inside the bizarre taxidermy museum where over 500 stuffed frogs are seen playing tennis, going to school and performing circus acts. Froggyland, in the coastal city of Split, Croatia boasts of over 500 dead frogs. The amphibians have been preserved through taxidermy
and then posed in a variety of very human scenarios like playing tennis or going to the dentist.
Other scenes found in the museum include a frog circus, a classroom filled with amphibious pupils and of course frogs doing what they do best – hanging out at the swimming pool.
The animals were preserved by #Hungarian taxidermist Ferenc Mere who stuffed over a thousand frogs between 1910 and 1920.
Mere was an avid fan of frogs and developed a special technique to keep frogs lifelike long after death
